Fixed - Annoying Rattle by Glove Compartment

I have had an annoying rattle coming from my glove compartment area on the passenger side and I finally figured it out. For the longest time, I thought that the rattle was either coming from something inside the glove compartment or in the bin underneath the passenger's seat.

Turned out to be neither. In the passenger side footwell, there are a series of air vent openings. Behind those openings are the actual air vents. Somehow, these became dislodged or unsnapped from their housing and were rattling against other plastic. I jimmied these vents around and they snapped into place and the rattle is gone.

Perhaps this will be of use to someone struggling with the same annoyance.

Thanks for the info. I'm always on some rattle hunt so I'm sure this will come in handy for me someday and anyone else googling.

brought it and they fixed it under warranty. initially didn't want them to do it, but they fixed it. thing was driving me crazy

Eh, porsche dealer is 30 minutes away from me and their track record of fixing rattles on my past cars wasn't great. Additionally, I figured that I at least wanted to isolate the rattling noise so I could tell them where it was coming from if I was going to bring it in.
