Lo Jack and Fidelity Extended Warranty
SubscribeHi,
In a haste of picking up my Pig, I got talked into doing the Fidelity Carefree Extended Warranty and the Lo Jack (which is scheduled to be installed on Thursday). I am having second thought about doing the lo Jack so I went over to speak with the finance manager and he told me that since lo Jack was part of my loan there's nothing he could do. Is that true? It's not even installed yet. Why can they just cancel it and give me some sort of credit?
The other thing is the Fidelity Extended Warranty for 3500 dollars for 7yr/70000. Should I keep it? If it's not a good deal, can I cancel it afterward?
Your response is greatly appreciated.

Part of the loan so the finance company can find it if you don't make payments (which I dont think happens) or "because I am too lazy to reprint a document, and by the way, aftermarket stuff increases my profit margin" part of the loan.
Just say no to both if you don't want them.
IMO, neither are going to help resale much. If it were Porsche Certified when sold as used, that would help resale.

I had the Lo-Jack in the loan as well, found out Lo-Jack charges less than what the dealer offered ($800 for basic + early warning + 7yrs full warrenty). So I cancelled with the dealership, the amount of the Lo-Jack was refunded back into the loan as payment. It is with Porsche Financial. I got the same 7yrs/70000 Fidelity for $2650.
Well they kept telling the lo jack is done deal so I have to get it installed. Something to do with the vin already build in the device.
Is that true????? I think it might be that I had the dealership call them to install it there instead of coming to my house. That's why they bill it on them instead of me. I mean it still doesn't make sense. Well, should I confirm with lo jack to find out?
