Would love to be able to close the rear hatch using the key......but I understand that the only way is by the button on the tailgate itself.

HOWEVER, I found a solution online from Kufatec.com. I have no idea how easily this integrates but it does add the ability to close from the key fob. If anyone has used it, I would love to hear more.

this is too funny. We Cayenne owners have to get aftermarket gear to do things that a $25K honda or toyota have been doing for 10 years. Just part of the allure?

 

Yeah I was just wondering about that the other day. Strange they wouldn't include such simple function.

 

I wonder if this could be programed through coding Porsche ECU (e.g., VAGCOM)? U.S. BMWs are like U.S. Cayenne as well, but can be coded to have Euro spec features, such as opening and closing tailgate via keyfob as well as many other Euro features (e.g., displaying corrected vehicle speed, hold push start button one sec to turn off engine and eject key, closing and opening windows, turning on air con upon ignition, etc.). I believe Euro Spec'd Porsche can do aforementioned Euro Spec'd BMW features. Please correct me if I am wrong.
