rough start up idle on V6 ?

my V6 had a loud kinda raspy idle for about 10 minutes when its first started, i thought it was a cold weather thing but its 75 out now and it still happens, wondering if its just the nature of the VW engine

Doesn't sound right. I have 12k miles on the clock and have not experienced anything like you describe. I'd get it checked out by the dealer.

Agreed. I occasionally notice a slight roughness for the first 30-60 seconds but it smooths out pretty quickly. Not what I've experienced in other Porsche engines but not too noticeable and it is a VW engine.
