Thanks all. Doesn't sound like much love for the Forgestars. I'm wondering if it is style or brand/quality that drives most toward OEM or BBS?

Looks like the OEM Spyders would run me $4900 for wheels alone and wheni add in shipping, taxes, tires, etc it is approaching a $7k upgrade. Hard to justify that kind of upgrade on a V6, IMO.

Update - I'm going to go with the BBS wheels from TireRack. Seems to be the best quality aftermarket wheel in the right price range and size. Plus, I like that I can get wheels and tires together (and balanced) and sent to my local installer. I just need to show up and have them transfer the TPMS and mount the wheels. Couldn't be easier.

My only regret is losing the Porsche crest caps. I am surprised they don't sell those too as I bet there are other suckers like me that would overpay for them.

How do you transfer the TPMS after the tires have been mounted and balanced? Doesn't TPMS go inside the tire, so you have to remove them from the wheel again?

Yes, they are a good deal. But I cannot find any 21" all season tires and I don't want summer tires so I can't use them. But they are very nice!

Good point. I didn't realize how the TPMS worked but you are right that balancing will need to be redone after TPMS is installed.

The Forgestar wheels are definitely a great choice and you shouldn't brush them off. Forgestar wheels are all rotary forged and do utilize the same manufacturing process BBS uses on some of their own wheels. They're popular as they do cost less than other rotary forged wheels that are out in the market.
