Do the ceramic brakes wear the same as the standard turbo brakes. How do the maintenance costs compare to the turbo brakes. The 8k option is expensive, and I wanted to make sure that the future maintenance costs aren't prohibitive.
Hmmm let me see.
If they need replaced out of warranty or if you chip the ceramics they are $5,500 PER.
With that said if you take care of them, watch for small pebbles, take caution when hanging wheels, etc, they are wonderful!
I wa told they should last the life of the car. No clue how I will ever know, I don't keep my cars that long.
By someone else, I was told they last double that of regular turbo breaks, but cost twice as much, so it's a wash in cost, but feel is better, and no break dust and lighter..
Those are the reasons I purchased.
Will do it again on next vehicle.
Plus they are huge and look awesome through my turbo wheels!

Hey Jace - have you had any problems with intermittent squealing from the PCCBs? Struggling with this for a few weeks now, 20,000km on the truck. (Not meaning to hijack this thread)
Cheers,

I have never noticed any squealing with the Cayenne in the 8700 miles i have driven it(in many different ways and conditions, except for snow)
With my 997 tts, squealing was a daily occurrence....

I do love the pedal feel and and stopping power of the PCCBs:very smooth and extremely effective at the same time

They are an amazing complement to the power of the CT,even more so with an ecu upgrade
Great........with ours, the 997 is behaving but the Cayenne not so.........it is driving me slightly crazy!

In short, occasionally.
Sometimes worse than others and sometimes not at all.
I don't really care when I hear them talking, makes me remember I have ceramics.
Take it to 90mph and apply breaks and gas for a mile.
The heat will help this.
Or do a 90 to 0 fast stop.
