Help with Campioni Shop
you need to put your "Man" pants on and draw the line in which again as stated many times before in this thread, contact your card company...explain to them the whole ordeal and what was promised (when it was promised, where, at what cost, etc) show them the e mail as support...you don't want it now I don't believe you should be forced fed it...let the card company deal with them (it) not you....

CP is a dealer as well as having a motorsport division that offers various tuning
possibilities..they did some of the testing for the GIAC software on the Cayenne Turbo

I also have the CP 22RG5B wheels on my CT...which I consider to be some of the nicest(if not the best) 22s available
Nope. No relations at all.
No relation whatsoever to Champion Porsche in Pompano,Florida

OK, see that now. Didn't notice the missing "h" and extra "i" in their name. They are in Quebec. Couldn't imagine it being connected to Champion in Pompano Beach.
You think a one month delay was caused by lack of international shipping knowledge??????
IMO the delay was caused by lies. Lies to the customer that a product was in stock when it clearly was not, lies that a product had shipped when it clearly hadn't. If/when a company lies to me....our relationship is severed....period.
Agreed 100%.

To the OP, the sender can still do a 'package intercept' with fedex and have the item return to sender but they would be out the total shipping cost. I bet they don't want to lose any $ on the deal so won't but you can still refuse it upon delivery and dispute with your CC company based on the timeframe they promised. GL either way but I wouldn't stress too much about it, your CC will take care of you
On the other hand, as a reseller of network security products, we are often approached by people in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, especially to buy products using credit cards. It's common knowledge to not accept credit card payments from these countries because the card will process and later after shipping and receipt of products, the CC company will take the money back for whatever reasons. We've also even been offered certified checks from banks that turn out to be bogus.
If it were me, I would reverse the credit card charge (refund the money) and ask for a wire transfer instead for the amount agreed (loss to Campioni). Campioni will be monitored by this forum and more but Hybridporky is a new member who could disappear and frankly looks suspicious given joining this forum just this month and I see location of Singapore/Massachusetts. What does that mean? I trust everyone but I cut the deck.
I agree Ariii. nhirsch, if the merchant was suspicious/did not accept credit cards from specific countries then they shouldn't have accepted the payment method. If they did accept the credit card they accepted to shoulder the risk that comes with it.
Campioni admitted to their mistake which is a good thing, however they made it sound like the negligence was rectified immediately.
The fact is it took them a month to do all of this for a product that was "in stock" and should have been shipped by July 27. If that were truly the case then they should have kept the client up to date. instead the client was only informed on the 3rd of August that the box was not in a good condition.
Since then it took them weeks to "re package" and ship the box out!!
According to the client they initially requested for him to pay the difference of the shipping charges. How would did they even have the audacity to ask for that after 3 weeks of purchase and them telling him that they are "repackaging the box".
If they would have been honest and kept the client in the loop they wouldn't be in this position today.
nhirsch, the reason why most of us are in this forum is to share our experience about matters concerning our vehicles. I think Joel did the right thing by sharing his experience and by asking the forum members for their input. I personally learnt from this and would stay away from Campioni in the future. I ordered my exhaust from Sharkwerks after a few email exchanges and they shipped it out 1 day after order and got it promptly with no problems.

+1 Sultanattar
After such a delay with little or no word from them..that they actually have the nerve to state "they went out of their way to make things right" is to me..adding insult to injury
Best to not do business with them and not hesitate to spread the word...

Of course this forum is great for, among other things, reporting problems with companies. I'm just pointing out that there are two scenarios possible here.
Scenario1: Everything as described, Campioni screwed up and ate the loss, shipped late, etc. Joel did the right thing, asked for advise, reported bad experience, etc which is helpful to all of us to know both the good and the bad.
Scenario2: Joel is a scammer, talked Campioni into paying with credit card and later signed up on this forum to use this forum as leverage.
Having been in business 23 years (still am) and being approached on a weekly basis by people from Singapore, Malasia and others to ship things using credit card, I've learned NOT to ever accept credit cards unless we personally know the company and the person and can validate them. No matter getting copies of the credit card front and back, getting them to sign a form, etc. calling them back at their workplace, etc, you can get screwed. Let's say you would make 20% on an article and they scam you, then you have to sell 5 more just to break even! Many of our larger deals are only 5-10% margin. And by the way, we get UPS shipments frequently and it's not unusual to get a damaged package. I received a $4000 flat screen network monitor that was damaged. Luckily we saw the puncture and opened it in front of the driver and he took it back. Also, I might add, it isn't uncommon for a company to say they have something "in stock" when it's in stock at another of their locations so I can't entirely blame them on that point either although it should have been clearly explained. I'm not making excuses for Campioni, just seeing the other side too.
EBAY has a reputation monitor which has the ratings of sellers from people who have rated their experience. If you see a seller with a 0 rating, you use extreme caution. Joel just joined this Forum this month so to me that is similar to an unknown entity and seeing he's from Singapore/Massachusetts, that raises my suspicion. Many of the e-mails I mentioned are from people who live in the US (so they say) but they want the products shipped to Singapore so that's why.
On the other hand, the detail Joel used is very believable and the fact that it's for a Porsche means he probably has some bucks to have bought it, assuming it's for his car.
For me, I wouldn't ship until I had the money via wire transfer. I like to say: I trust everyone but will cut the deck to keep my business alive. The internet has just too many scammers and much of it is big business.

I had no idea it was this tricky to process payments and that you were so often approached by people possibly trying to scam you
Hopefully this is just a fluke and things will be worked out between both parties
