My build date is Oct. 27th, Do they start building the 27th? complete it on the 27th? or does it take 1 day to build an SUV?

How long until my GTS makes it down south to my dealership?

 

I am not sure about the build date, but for my S, I have placed my order beginning of June, and I don't get it until the third week of this month. The dealer told me it takes about 3-4 weeks to ship it from germany, and when it arrives in San Diego port, it takes another 10 days to come to bay area... Its been more than 4 months, I am still waiting...

 

Here is the timeframe for my recent purchase, from order to delivery.

Build date of 8/14 confirmed on 5/17/12
Verified in body shop on 7/30/12
VIN received on 8/16/12
On vessel 8/17/12
Arrived at Port (Brunswick) 8/30/12
Released from Port 9/6/12
At dealership 9/7/12
