The Diesels at my dealership are being discounted $4,000.

I bought a new 2013 Cayenne Turbo for $7500 off MSRP and this is coming from Los Angeles where demand is high. I think you can do much better then that.

Wrong, US/Canadian diesels have no start-stop.

You are absolutely right, that's why we ended up buying the S instead of the diesel because of the 4-zone.

Yeah,up north your winters are too cold and your summers are too hot
South Florida has the best weather in North America..pretty much in the 80s all year round

We also get severe rainstorms in Toronto, not quite hurricane strength though.

I am fortunate to live in a fairly sheltered area..the east coast and northern Gulf are usually the ones that bear the brunt of it

I'd take the diesel anytime. Torque = get up and go at the lights. Diesel = 600 miles on one tank . Longevity = more money in your pocket.
I predict the Diesel version will retain 75% of it's value after 5 year , irregardless of mileage. Yes, I said IRREGARDLESS of mileage. :-)

True..just reliability and torque are an enviable package

The most any dealers in South Florida are giving is about $2000 off regardless of msrp on the diesels. 6% is really good. I was offered 7% off of a gts from one of the dealers, but it had a $101k sticker. The diesel sticker with the options I want will be around $68k. To me, the lower price makes more sense for wife's car. Anyway, I decided to go with the diesel. If dealer cant locate one for me I will order one and wait for March delivery. Thanks for all of the input.
