Hagel,

Thank you for your insights.
I am excited to buy mine as well.
Could you let us know the total cost of the mod? Did you get the 4 wheel alignment as well?

The ECS Website states that the H&R springs are OE springs. In what vehicle, is this an OEM part? Also, does this have a different spring rates than the H&R sport springs that Hagel has installed?

Thank you,

Thank you,
DTA The OE just means that the Stock ride comfort is retained. These springs will fit all 958's without air suspension. Unless hagel got some H&R springs that I don't know about, these should be the only ones that H&R offers. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Congrats, I think I'm going to have mine done Friday, they should settle down another .5" or so which will give you a nice drop. Please post pics if you get a chance.

Nope, these are the same ones I have...

As for the OE feel, the ride is a little stiffer, you "feel the road a little bit more" (this may also have to do with the 22" wheels), and there is a noticeable difference when corner, but it is still a very comfortable ride.

Looks good, @porschevin, he says it corners better (lower center of gravity and stiffer springs = less roll) and rides a bit harsher but he has 22" wheels and tires which don't put a lot of rubber between you and the road. From what I've heard from others the difference in comfort is negligible.

Exactly! I don't think any comfort was lost... It actually provides the handling / feel that I was wanting -- it isn't as "soft now.

Thank you for the photos.
Could I ask how much the total cost was? I am new to my town and I want to get a sense for a reasonable quote.

Thanks,

Thanks,
It was a little over $950 out the door (Parts, Installation, Alignment, and Tax).

Had my H&R springs installed today

the drop is very noticeable as is the difference in handling/cornering. The ride comfort change is really not noticeable but when you go into a turn it feels much more car like now. The install cost me $600 and took the shop about 6 hrs. I'm going to my Porsche dealer tomorrow to have my summer 21" wheels put on and have an alignment if they think its necessary. For you guys on the fence about this mod i would say go for it.

the black wheels are 20" in case you were wondering

I know its an old thread. Curious how happy people are with ride on H&R springs after install. Particularrly interested to hear what people with bigger wheels (20-22) say.
