So this morning I went to gas the CS up and first a message pops up saying there was something wrong with the Start/Stop function. I don't use this function....ever. So I saw the warning light, then I pressed the button but nothing happened.

A few minutes later, the check engine light comes on....the message is pretty generic (cant remember exactly but it doesn't give details).

Has this happened to anyone before and does anyone know what the hell is going on here?

that happened to me when i spilled some of my coffee on top of the 'gear shifter'

... they fixed it by just replacing some unit.
