Hey guys,

I have noticed that the front sensor of my '13 GTS sounds off and the screen shows "Red" as if I'm 1 inch away from hitting something... Out of the blue!

This happens only sometimes, and mostly in the morning. Nothing is around me, and I'm driving at about 30-50 mph and all of a sudden the Sensor sound goes off and screen shows me red.. This stays for about 2 seconds and then goes. Comes back in a bit..

Any ideas?

 

Have you checked to see if there is a bug or something on the sensor? It might even be something that isn't easy to see so I'd start with a good cleaning of the area. Next I'd try disconnecting it and then reconnecting to make sure its not loose.

More likely, however, is that you probably just have a bad sensor and it needs to be replaced.

 

Same here with my V6 and I find it annoying . The vehicle had the option and i bought it off the showroom floor . My girlfriend likes it though and seems to know when it's "fake" alarm wheras i find the entire thing quite distracting .
