Auto down windows?

For some reason I thought holding the unlock button would open the windows, but if so I can't get it to work. Does my wife's 3 series really have more complete features or am I just missing something silly?

I don't think Porsche has the feature which opens windows by holding down the unlock button, we had that on our previous MB S-Class. Porsche is never great on convenience features.

Well at least I feel like less of an idiot then

Our 996 won't do it from the remote, but if you use the key to unlock the door and hold it in the unlock position it rolls the windows down. Glad to see they just dropped the feature since using a real key is mostly a thing of the past...

I do miss the feature on my previous S-Class, especially in the summer, as I walk towards the car I can press and hold down the unlock button on the remote to lower the windows and open the sunroof.

I've had this feature on my past two vehicles and never used it.

If you ask nicely, your dealer can program your car to roll down the windows when you hold down the unlock button on the key. My service guy swore it couldn't be done, but then poked around and figured out how to reprogram it. Of course the range on the damn key is so small its not most useful option...
