i have a stock 958 s with sports exhaust..
and i do love to use downshift for engine braking..
but im not getting a good exhaust note when im doing so..

but looking at some of the cars with fabspeed bypass from youtube
am hearing a great sound while downshifting..

is this "sound" only possible with a bypass!?

 

Cayenne's have an 8-speed Japanese transmission - it's a good transmission but it cannot compare to the PDK in the 991s. I have a Cayenne TT with bypass pipes - the engine note is very nice, but when I downshift it takes too long and I don't get the same sound that I get off of my 991.

I can recommend the bypass pipes but don't expect a better sound when downshifting. Just my opinion.

i guess I'm a have to goto carrera soon lol!!

im sure we all agree 958 is a great car! but.. this downshift specially from 3rd to second gear is so wrong... somethings terribly wrong!
