Sorry, that was a quick read misunderstanding on my part. I thought you said people run turbo diesels with no muffler is too loud.

Either way, DPF is still so restrictive that even on non-turbo diesels, I don't believe muffler would make a difference basing this off the Touareg TDI supersprint swap we threw on at the shop recently and my Mk6 TDI with no mufflers. Once you go diesel stage 2 with DPF delete though, muffler then makes a huge difference.

So I'll let you know if my seat-of-the-pants dyno and the width of my grin show any improvements.
Let me know what you think... feel free to post any sound clips/vids while you're at it.

Hey guys I just installed my Fabspeed Catbypass yesterday. I had a minor issue with mine as the clamps didn't seal properly but that's been taken care of. As for the review, pretty much everyone here that has one has been saying the right thing. While driving normally, you don't really notice the difference a whole lot but I do find it to have a little bit of a roar compared to stock. While you're driving sports mode, it makes the car sounds aggressive and mean. I think the closest comparison I can compare it to would be a C63. It sounds friggin fantastic from the outside and the cabinet noise is not that bad at all. This is coming from a guy who was worried to buy it because I have a four month old baby. It the past I've driven vehicles that are LOUD but this is exactly what I was looking for. It sounds settled in normal mode and sounds aggressive but not ridiculously loud in sports mode. I definitely recommend this!

I have a 2011 Cayenne S. When I took out the stock pipe and replaced it with the fabspeed one, I used the oem clamp to clamp it back on. Even after clamping both sides as tight as possible, there was still a tiny gap, probably 3-4mm or so and it cause leakage. I took it to my friends shop and applied sealant on it. It was night and day difference afterwards. When it was leaky, it kinda sounded raspy like the one from my video, but after fixing the leak, it sounds quieter without the raspy tone. Hope this helps for everyone!

Shouldn't have to apply sealant. It likely won't last. Bad construction.

the install is pretty straight forward with the exception of one bolt on the passenger side is a pain in the @ss to get to. I put it on with a few hundred miles on my car and had no issues with the clamps sealing. The pipes however do not align perfectly with the rear section in the beginning and do require a little bit of muscle to get it lined up to clamp it using the oem sleeve. The bypass pipes with aftermarket mufflers is LOUD on n/a V8. I like the sound of it but my wife hates it and says it gives her a headache.

Installed them in my Cayenne GTS this morning. Perfect fit and no issues...you have to remember to not tighten anything until everything is connected, then pull it all together with torque.

The FABSPEED video is 100% authentic. That is exactly how it sounds, so no need for more exterior videos or soundclips.

Above descriptions by kchan9 and MikeL are very accurate.

Here are 2 clips of on-ramp 0-100 and 0-85 runs from inside the cabin, taken on an iPhone. Car was in Sport but the transmission was in automatic, so it did not wind out to redline. The gong you hear is the Speed Alert, set at 85.

That sounds good inside the car... how is it with normal acceleration? Is it quiet?

Anything else to report? Any issues with O2 sensors, etc? Feel any different?

Cold Startup is noticeably louder.

Normal acceleration in non-Sport is almost as quiet as before. Bottom line: when you hammer it, it is loud and aggressive. If you baby it, only slightly louder.

I drove it yesterday with my wife in the car. First in non-Sport and normal driving. She did not notice.

On the way home, on an on-ramp I hit Sport and hammered it. She asked if I had done something to the car. So it was noticeable to her, but she didn't complain about it, as she knows it is not just an ordinary Cayenne.

No O2 issues or CEL whatsoever.

Nice video ("PorshUH" though )!

Out of curiosity, it looks like you have black lettering on the back. How'd you change that? I was planning on plasti-dipping mine (without removing from the car).

I've already ribbed them about the mispronunciation

And the emblems was just plasti dipped. I'll probably get it painted gloss black later though to match the other gloss black trim I already had painted.

Yeah, I have heard rumors of a glossy plastidip on the horizon but nothing concrete yet. There's a "glossifier" but I don't know how close that is. Easy to re-dip later if some new product comes out, as either way it looks better than chrome when the rest of your trim is black....
