You'll definitely have to post some pics when you get your CTTS! What options did you end up ordering?

The Turbo can be made to look the same as a GTS (pay for the SportDesign kit, the black trim, etc). For me, a very similar build GTS vs Turbo came out $20k cheaper for a GTS. And here's what's on my GTS that you simply can't get on a Turbo:

GTS interior (the black/red or umber/cognac is a nice runner-up if you get a Turbo though)
The sound!
Lower ride height (you could use a lowering module on your Turbo, I guess)
Throttle response, sportier tuning on the suspension and transmission

Either way, both are great cars. For me, the unique color (Peridot) and GTS exclusives above won me over - plus the price tag. I like big Turbo power but I'd rather have that in another car, like a Panny Turbo or RS 7, etc, where I'd be more apt to use it.

As for the thermal glass, I wasn't so much as wanting them to keep the CTTS quiet, but more so to keep the UV out. I had my X5 tinted with Huper Optik ceramic and that was close to $1k, so if the thermal glass accomplishes the same, then I about break even.
I have to agree with Rak here. I am getting ready to take delivery of my third Cayenne turbo. One without PCCBs, last two with. Would never go without them again.

Had I purchased my current GTS with PCCBs, I think I would have a little more enjoyment from it... I know that sounds silly, but it is true. They serve not only for less break dust, but also have decreased weight and decreased rotational mass. It makes the vehicle drive differently. Had 11000 miles on first without, 14000 on second one with. Definitely worth it.

I also agree, when you are at this price, the addition of Burmester and PCCBs becomes marginal.

Good luck!

J

I would also suggest the PCCB's after hearing so much about them. I regret not getting them after being tortured daily with brake dust.
I am a part time musician and had a small recording studio and still record with other players after many years of being in to music. I am really in to sound and I was sure that I would order my CTT with the BERM till I made several side by side comparisons with several music CD's. I could barely hear a difference between it and the BOSE. I was disappointed because I thought it would be better especially in the bass frequencies. Anyway I am fairly happy with the BOSE and would suggest spending that extra $ for the brakes.

Off topic, but what are your settings on the Bose? I feel like my listening experience is much worse than in my 5 series, and that has the no name upgraded hi fi, no Harmon Kardon or B&O.

OK. I do not think the BOSE is great but decent. Compared to many aftermarket systems it has little adjustment options as you can see. I always leave the treble all the way up and that just leaves the bass to play with which I am always changing according to the song that is on since they all vary greatly with bass content. I have gone back and forth many times with the front to rear fader settings always in an attempt to find the blend that has the deepest bass response. I usally leave it 3 points to the rear. What I miss is what I would call sub bass which is the lowest response that you usually hear with any decent home subwoofer but it is not there to my ears. I assume this is because there isn't a big enough space available in the car for a sub. I would love to add a small sub cabinet to see what improvement can be made.
Anyway I am rambling here. As far as the spacial effects option I have turned that on and off many times but I usually leave it off to get a more natural sound to my ears. I crawled in the back once and I believe there are 2 extra speakers that only come on when the effect is turned on.
I do think the BOSE has an overall better reproduction than many aftermarket systems which exaggerate different frequencies for whatever reason. The BOSE in my SL500 was horrible so I am happy with this in comparison. What settings do you use?

Just another word on PCCBs.
Yesterday I was way up in New England visiting friends. Took the Cayenne as my pup provided me company. On return trip played very easily with a BMW X5M. We were on a two lane twisty highway.. A great ride. I was on and off the brakes constantly..much more than I ever have been for at least a 30 minute interval as traffic was heavy and we had to brake often. Zero fade, unbelievable braking ability for a heavy SUV, and when I reached home late last evening my wheels were absolutely spotless. Those brakes are really quite something
