Help me decide between 2 cars.
I recently posted that I am trading in my 2012 CTT for a 2013 CTT and had some questions on option preferences. I need to take advantage of the year end pricing (11% + off MSRP) as I have a bit of negative equity on my 2012. As such ordering a 2014 is not viable for pricing reasons. I currently own (via financing) and need a lease for business purposes as well.
I have narrowed my search to the following two cars:
Car #1:
9MB - Dimmable Interior LED Lighting
8SI - LED Brake Lights - Black
8BT - Bi-Xenon(TM)Headlights-BlckW/P
7Y1 - Lane Change Assist (LCA)
7X8 - ReverCamera-ParkAssisFrontRear
7B6 - 12-Volt Outlet in Rear Center
4F6 - Porsche Entry & Drive
4D3 - Seat Ventilation Front
CZ4 - 21" 911 Turbo II Whl w/Arch Ex
3FU - Panorama Roof System
1Y1 - PTV Plus
0P3 - Dual Twin-Tube Tailpipes
QR5 - Sport Chrono Package
QJ4 - ExteriorPackageHigh-glossBlack
PP6 - Light Comfort Package with Mem
3Y8 - ElecRollupSunblindRearSideWind
Clearly a nicely optioned car. Missing PDCC. Other than that it's perfect for me. Would need to put some winter tires on soon.
Car #2:
1Y1 - PTV Plus
1ML - SportDesignSteerWheelw/Paddles
0AW - PDCC
PU5 - Sport Package
9MB - Dimmable Interior LED Lighting
7B6 - 12-Volt Outlet in Rear Center
PP6 - Light Comfort Package with Mem
6Q4 - Gear selector (carbon)
5MH - Carbon Fiber Interior Package
CP5 - 20" RS Spyder Design Wheel
9JB - Smoker package
9AH - 4-zone Climate Control
7Y1 - Lane Change Assist (LCA)
7X8 - ReverCamera-ParkAssisFrontRear
4D3 - Seat Ventilation Front
3S1 - RoofRails w/Moldings-Aluminum
3FU - Panorama Roof System
PH7 - Carbon Fiber Interior Package
Again a very nicely built car including PDCC. I usually am not a fan of chrome trim around the windows, which this car has. Can be wrapped if needed. Also, would need to source some 21" wheels for summer (at least 3K) and add arched fenders (375 plus a bit of labor). This car has the sport package which means sport wheel with paddles, no heating, which I do like. As you know, cannot have it all with Porsche when not ordering.
My 2012 does not have PDCC (or PTV) and to be honest I am perfectly happy with the way it handles. I have a 991 that I drive 2-3 times per week (has PDCC) and drive spirited but pretty normal in my Cayenne. I certainly use the loud pedal and love the torque in the CTT but typically don't fly around bends, turns, etc. Does my current CTT lean a bit, sure, but it is certainly not excessive and I think it out handles almost any SUV I have driven.
After doing a few searches, there are so many posts that say PDCC is a must and feel like I would be making a mistake getting car #1 without PDCC, but I don't have it now and I am very happy with the car. Car #2 has some things that would need sorting, but not excessive. As a car guy, I'm happy to make a few personalized changes.
Pricing/terms are basically the same. So, if you were me, which car? 1 or 2?
Thanks.

For most people here, it's a no brainer but I do not think you'd be making a mistake with Car #1.
You will notice the 21" turbo wheels with arches every time you look at the car and love them. You will enjoy the multi function steering wheel every time you sit to drive.
The electronic handling improvements you will only be aware of when you push the car really hard.
Note, this is coming from someone who has all four options mentioned.

I drove my CTT w/o PDCC today and purposely took 3 on ramps with a little more speed than normal. I got to be honest, I thought the non-PDCC suspension handled great with just enough lean to let you know you are taking a turn in a 5000 lb truck but with complete composure.
I think I'm leaning towards car #1 as the "better" car for my purpose and overall better car for me. Multi wheel with heat, black trim, better wheels/arches, etc...... Please keep in mind that I live in NJ right over the GW bridge and drive to NYC everyday. I don't live in a place that allows me to fly on back winding roads......
Has anyone actually wrapped chrome trim?

My vote is for Car #2. In addition to the comments of PVT/PDCC mentioned above, it also has 4-zone Climate Control and RoofRails w/Moldings-Aluminum.
I've read various posts where owners regret not getting the 4 zone climate control as they felt it the default system was under powered in cooling the cabin. As for roof rails, changes in the 958 don't allow for adding OEM rails after the fact. You can go after market racks, but they don't support as much weight (100lbs vs 250lbs). Just food for thought....

I think you should go for #1, and use your 991 for when you really want to go for a spirited drive. And if you do end up pushing your Cayenne a little, it's not like it's going to disappoint you even without PDCC.
I enjoy my GTS, and drive it with "mild aggression" every now and then. It doesn't have PDCC and I have zero complaints. I get my jollies in my 911, so I'd think you are probably in the same boat...

Well, dealer for car # 2 just screwed themselves. Tried to upsell the rate/MF cause it was a biz lease (with PG) and said MF must be .0022 instead of the base .002. I called BS as 1) I have a friend that is a F&I guy at a P dealer and 2) I already have a PFS biz lease at base of .002.
Sometimes I really can't stand these guys. This is after this dealer was 2K high. You can lead a horse to water......

I'm just saying, PDCC in an emergency situation can save the day, especially on a tall SUV. It happened to me with my family in the car, had to make a quick maneuver going 85 mph across 4 lanes. A truck unload a whole bunch of yard wastes on the freeway right in front of us. The car handled so well and posed with PDCC and fully in control. You don't get to choose which car you're in when things go south. Just saying.

4-Zone climate control is a must have, even if you do not usually carry rear passengers, with a secondary air cond unit and extra air vents, your car will cool much faster, especially in the Florida heat. Without the 4-zone, the rear console looks empty and incomplete.
