Radar detector going off constantly
I just swapped my Panamera TT for a Cayenne GTS last week. I installed my Valentine 1 and it is going off most of the time. It did not do this in the Panamera. I tried the V1 from my 911 and it does the same thing. I have the Lane change assist in the Cayenne.
Any thoughts?

In my 911 (without lane assist) I turned off the K band which isn't used in my area. You can go to valentine's website for instructions to disable different bands.
My Cayenne (with lane change assist) came with the heated windscreen so I couldn't use a windscreen mounted radar detector. I had the K40 installed, and the installer disabled the rear K-band. I love the K40. It's extremely hard to see the laser shifters in the front grill of the turbo. Only two small lights mounted just above the interment panel so no one can see that you have a radar detector.
There are no problems with my lane change assist, but it'll pick up others on the road until I pass them.

Is your placement different between the two different cars?
I have noticed with my Escort Redline (extremely sensitive)
that it really matters as to where you place the detector in the car.
Place it low on the windshield dash and it doesn't go off nearly as much
as it does when i mount under the rear view mirror (high in the windshield).

What is TSR? I went to the reprogramming instructions on the V1 website, but did not see a mention of TSR.

I typically travel 5 mph over posted, and love it when radar detectors of cars traveling faster then me enter my blind spots. I can see them drive into the side mirrors - primarily left - then suddenly back off. I've always thought it was because my LCA triggered their radar detectors. Now I know for sure. Enjoyable visual treat during some otherwise boring trips.

Sorry, I keep going back and forth between an Escort Max and my V1. I meant TMF (Traffic Monitor Filter). Which should be t in the programming.

With all the newer cars using Radar & Laser guidance systems for their adaptive cruise control and collision systems this problem will continue to get worse. K band is still very much used in every state and I would not disable it unless you were absolutely sure they no longer use it in your area.
My Redline is arguably one the best portable detector units you can buy. I am fairly certain there is minimal impact near as I can tell.
The Escort and Bel lines of detectors are compatible with the blind spot monitors from what I have read.
Valentine 1, just do a search.

I am reviving this thread. After all the discussion, I am still confused as to which radar detector may be best for my CD. It has both the adaptive cruise control and the blind spot detection systems. It sounds to me that no matter which radar detector I buy, I will experience some problems with the K band.
