I have a Beltronics STiR and have no issues with the adaptive cruise control and LCA/LDW on my CTTS. The Beltronics has GPS and has a feature where it will ignore the same signal if it comes from the same location 2x in a row (K band from garage doors or the mall's automatic opening doors). I do get the occasional K band or laser warning from other cars in some tight traffic and only at higher speeds. I really didn't pay attention as to what make the surrounding cars were though, but since it was in tight traffic I wasn't going that fast anyways.

I also have the laser interceptors installed, and have only had one hit on that in the past 3 months. Doesn't seem laser is used a lot around the SF Bay area, or at least not on the Peninsula.

I think it has to do with the placement of the radar detector on the windshield. I had similar problems with my passport and moved it lower in the center of the windshield and the K band stopped going off.

I'm swapping between the V1 and the max all the time. Neither one is giving me problems on K band in my GTS. Which ever one I'm using at the time is placed on the drivers side of the RVM at the top.

Thanks for the responses. I think I may try the Escort One Max. The rear view mount looks like a good solution here in California. Now I need to check what kind of rear view mirror I got. Anyone knows if that works ok with the rain sensing system? Oh, was that easy to tap the mirror power supply?

I'm not aware of a kit to tap into the rvm power supply in the Cayenne. If there is one (for Escort)....i would love to know.

I have a direct wire kit for my Escort but haven't installed yet.
