I just had an engine oil change in December on the 2013 Cayenne Hibrid. I've out on about 7k miles and the low engine oil light came on. When I checked the oil level and it's just below the minimum line. Is this considered normal? I know my previous cars with v10 and v12 engine tend to use up engine oil so I am wondering if the supercharged v6 does the same thing?

 

Never mind, just did a search and it seems common.

 

have a b8 s4 in our family with the same motor, minus the hybrid stuff. the car burns 1 qt of oil every 5-6k miles. fill with one quart and it should be at the top.

 

I forgot what manual states, but I am sure its within the range.

 

Thanks, I added half a quart and it now shows the level to be in the middle. I didn't expect this engine to eat up oil, must be a supercharger with higher compression ration thing?
