Thinking to replace middle dash compass CS 2011
Serg, you need to calm down a bit. TGED is correct in his comments. I too have not seen any one report adding a clock/chrono to a no-clock car on any of the forums I frequent.
No one said it can't be done, just that Porsche dealers are generally reluctant to help with such things and no one has posted information on how to do it.
I do know that Porsche builds very vehicle specific wiring harnesses and if you don't have an option that needs it, the wiring is probably not going to be there. I have seen this many times in the threads about adding the compass to a "no clock" car. They pull the panel and the PCM and there is no wiring back there for the compass/clock module.

Another potential issue is the backlighting for the clock, on my 2013 Cayenne it is configurable from the instrument cluster(the round LCD screen) to stay off all the time or to come on with the other backlighting, so even if you can get the clock to tick, the backlighting may not work accordingly without the proper software. Nothing is certain until someone has actually done in, and it may still not be 100%. I remember Suncoast used to carry LED license plate bulbs for the Cayenne 958, they had to pull the product because the LEDs would set off error codes on some vehicles but not other, they are thinking the different optional equipment of the vehicles might have recreated a conflict. And they still don't know why. Cars these days are so complex it is entirely possible that the same set up works on everyone's car but not yours.
A last check on ebay did show they have sold a few sport chrono clocks but no where near the few hundreds as some forum member mentioned. And there has not been one useful review. Some people might have bought it as a replacement as their warranty on the car might have ended. In many parts of the world, Porsche standard warranty is a lot shorter than the 4-year we get in US/Canada.
On one ebay product, they show a photo of the standard dash clock and they call it a clock/stopwatch, there is no stopwatch function whatsoever on the standard clock, this shows you how much some of the ebay merchant knows about their products.

actually they say that its a plug and play, well, splicing 3 or 4 wires plug and play. Apparently no dealer coding needed. I am also looking into this. and spoke at length with the guys selling the kit online as well. I wanted to add the chromo/watch combo..
of note the watch only is a noisy fu***er, opt for the watch chrono combo, so much so that porsche apparently has been switching them out free of charge based on how loud they are

I installed stopwatch myself a lot of times.
Few moments.
1. If you buy new crono - you need put device in another car, where chrono was installed from factory and make initial coding. else small arrows will not show time.
2. If you buy used - be carefull, porsche replace a lot of device during service action - they can stop any second!!!
3. In case this thread not so easy delete compass from car, on software level. Man with piwis should have some skill.
I strongly advice all times coding added device to avoid any issues, battery drow for example.
