CTT Replacement

I picked up a leftover 13 CTT with MSRP of 122+ in October. Got a great deal, @ 100K. From day one the car had squeaks, rattles and other minor but very annoying issues. It was our 2nd CTT. We had a 12 that was rear ended and I sold the car the day I got it back. Over 25K in damage. No way I was keeping that.

After 6 months I sold the new (but very annoying) 13 CTT as the rattles and squeaks would not stop. Did fine on trade and picked up an X5M in the interim that I got a VERY good deal on (74K sold for 70K) knowing I was on the hunt for a new car..... but didn't know what to get.

To make a long story short, a friend at Land Rover called and said he had a cancellation on a new RR Sport V8 with dynamic package. We previously had a 2012 Sport which my wife loved but I thought was too heavy, really terrible on gas and brakes and drove like a land yacht. Fortunately our car was pretty reliable. No less than other cars BMW, P, etc. we have had.

Knowing these car are very tough to get, I went to see it and was quite impressed. Best part is that dealer will take it back (as long as I don't wreck it) at a prearranged trade which is very close to MSRP, what I paid through the end of the year up to 1,000 miles per month.

300 miles on the car, so far very impressed. It's doesn't drive like the Cayenne, but it's as solid as a rock (something MY CTT was not), It's plenty fast for my daily drive to NYC and drives MUCH better than the previous Sport. Technology is improved but still behind a bit. The engine is great and I actually think the tranny is pretty good. Very well built and overall a pretty cool car.

I am aware that many on there think the RR's are always in the shop, unreliable, etc. and prefer this not turn into a RR v. Cayenne debate. Just wanted to share with my fellow enthusiasts.

That is a beauty and the interior looks top notch.
I still wonder why some get a noisy cayenne and some don't
My 13 CTT with 16K is absolutely quiet, solid and incredible.
Sorry you had to go through all those problems you described.
Enjoy and I think a lot of guys on here would enjoy a follow up report on that sharp looking truck.

People who talk down on the RR usually never owned one and just "heard" they are trouble.

I've owned 3 of them and I really have nothing bad to say about them. Great pickup!

my brothers range super sport rover 12k just had a catastrophic brake failure, front line burst and he lost all brakes.. thank god he was in traffic on a flat road and he costed to the side.. scary.. best part is , dealer goes thats not normal, i will replace that line. hmmm what about the other 3 he asks? dealer goes,. well its an abnormality they should be fine.. in sort they refused to replaced all of them

I got to admit, other than a CTT, that would be my next best choice!
Looks great Michael! Great color and great options.
