Hard to believe I was in the same situation as Jace and Ronan. I placed my order for a CTTS in Aug, but it was an Oct build slot. Didn't take delivery until end of December. The wait was excruciating, but in the end it was well worth it! I envy the two of you and will be looking for details and pics of your new Cayennes!

 

That is where I'm at now and it is already excruciating. But I figured if I'm spending that kind of money I'm going to get what I want. Delivery date determined 7/29 car enters body shop on 10/31, what are they doing now?
I think they are on the beach. Vehicle complete on 11/7 so creation takes 7 days. Sounds almost biblical. Dealer said it might be 10 days early but they originally said OCT when I first put down my deposit for a slot, so I take that with a grain of salt. I'll just have to make do with my 4 Runner and 911 till then. I have only ordered one other car in my life. A 1963 Corvette it came on my birthday Jan7,1963. Will this one repeat? Should we have a lottery?

 

I'll be joining the waiting. I prefer not to compromise color and options.

 

One of the Dallas dealers called me today with an update, Meteor Gray Cayenne's will begin production run January 2015.

 

does that mean delivery 6-8 weeks later?

 

I think it would put it closer to 8-12 weeks. Mine was an Oct build and didn't not arrive until end of Dec, which was closer to 12 weeks.

 

Meteor Grey is now showing on the Porsche.com configurator...so hopefully that is a good sign that it is now available for build orders.

 

So does that mean a HUGE discount on current on the showroom floor 2014 Cayennes? I was at the dealer yesterday, wanted to drive a Macan but none available. Plenty of Cayennes though - fire sale later the year?

 

I placed my order for my meteor grey CTT on Friday. Espresso/cognac, PDCC, sport chrono, PTV, burmester, 21" sport edition wheels. Hoping sport appearance package offered before production.

 

Fire sale? Probably not they will just ship them to MN.

 

More likely you'll see a discount on MY2014 and no discounts on MY2015.

 

My local dealer who has earned our business twice in the last 12 months offered me a paltry 3% off a 2015 CTT order. I told them I would check back with them in January. We got 7% off my Boxster S order and $7,500 off of my wife's E class. I'm not paying 97% of MSRP on an even more expensive Cayenne...
