Hey guys,

I tried the search but could not find anything. I was trying to find out how to remove the tailgate door moulding as i recently dented mine and wanted to swap it out for a new one.

any info would greatly appreciated, also how difficult it is to do yourself?

Are you talking about the silver or black plastic strip at the bottom of the tailgate door?

If so it's just on with double sided tape. A head gun and some floss should take care of it for you.

 

I changed mine to the black one, heat gun and fishing line worked for me. the silver one is aluminum and I got impatient towards the last 1/4 of it and just pulled it off by force and it bent. i didn't care though, figuring I wasn't going to need/use it anymore. there will be a bunch double sided tape residue, I had to run to the store and buy goo off/gone to get it all out.
