Xpel Paint Protection Question?

Any body do your entire hood and fenders? How long have you had it?
Would you do it again?

ctdwp is infamous around these parts
Had the full front of car done in August a week after picking up my GTS...no issues and would do it again. There are already a few nics in it which would have been paint chips if it was not there. I also had it on my previous two cars. I have Xpel Ulitimate which is supposedly the best option but I do wonder if there is a film that is not as soft and more resistant to rocks.

Thanks for the info. I have half the hood on my 997 done with the original 3M material and have been happy with that although I think the Xpel looks better. It was very new at the time so I went with 3M. The original 3m is thicker than Xpel and may be more resistant but it doesn't come in sheets big enough to do the whole hood. I think it is asking a lot to be totally rock resistant.

Have full front panels with 3M film for the last three years, it still looks great, and barely visible. Clearly do it again.

A good installer is key. Make sure you find someone that has done lots of high line cars. I recently had film put on full hood and fenders and can't even tell it is covered. I would absolutely recommend it. Good luck.

My 2014 GTS has had the full hood/fenders/wheel arch extensions/bumper/skid plate (painted piece under the front bumper),headlights and mirror caps covered in Suntek PPF-C.
I first had the entire vehicle polished then opti-coat pro applied, then the PPF was
Installed then also was opti-coated.

It has been 3 months and about 3k miles of touring with no chips or scratches on the entire front end.
I hand wash my vehicle every week have not seen or felt any imperfections.

The GTS is my DD and our touring vehicle. We run a combo of interstate and two lane blacktop on our road trips.

I keep my vehicles longer than most so this was worth it to me.

Cheers!

I have full wrap on all 3 cars with Xpel done by Moe @ GP (He is in the detailing section, you should ask him since he has a lot of experience with this material)

The longest one is over 2 years and I rewrap/switched from 3M, couldn't be happier, it is more clear and it is still looking like new (Moe did a nano treatment on it).

I did 3M, Suntek and Preestige film by Premier, so far in my experience, I like Xpel the best.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm going with Xpel for the full wrap on front end.
