Radio/CD/USB Volume goes up and down for no reason

Has anyone experience having the volume of the radio (using any music option) going up and down like crazy for no reason? This happened twice to me with the AP and Linear options unchecked. The only checked option I have is the surround sound. Has anyone experience this?

Does it happen when you are stopped or only while moving? It will adjust the volume based on your speed in an effort to combat road noise.

It happens either way, and the swings of volume are crazy from nothing to very high. If i turn of the car and on in a few minutes it goes away. It has happened twice in 2 months.

Ahh, yeah I've heard of that before. You need to take it to the dealer. They'll reset it, reflash it, and most likely end up replacing the PCM. Get started now as it will likely be an extended list of "ok try it now" visits.

revisiting an old thread.
Any news on this problem? I just started experiencing my radio volume suddenly jumping to a very loud volume (no change in car speed, not accidentally moving volume control on steering wheel, etc). Has happened twice in the past 2 days.

PowdercoatMike--did you issue resolve on it's own?
