Window Switch Problem
Hello Guys!
It seems most of my threads, with exception to my dash cam DIY, are unfortunately of a griping tone. I keep finding problems with my Porsche and was hoping that the cayenne, being a model with a long production run, would be more problem free than the just introduced Panamera S that was so chock full of little annoyances, I returned it when the Lease ended.
Here is another issue I found. The window switch control panel (so far only tested this on the front driver and passenger side) has a little quirk that when depressing the switch halfway (manual mode) to lower the windows, it would only do so when applying enough pressure, but not so much pressure as to engage the auto mode.
The driver side would almost always lower the windows smoothly when the switch is toggled, regardless of the pressure being exerted on it (the toggling being the key here), the passenger side however, would lower a bit, then stop, and would only lower again until the correct amount of pressure is exerted on it despite the switch being already toggled.
I hope my explanation makes sense, and was wondering, since all the Porsches use this window switch, has anybody else encountered this problem? I wouldn't mind as much except that when I want to lower the windows partly while driving, having to finnick with the window control is kind of distracting.
I want to get all my duckies in a row about this issue before going to the Newport Porsche/Bentley dealership, as the service department seemed to be very reluctant to help out with warranty last time I was there, they still haven't called me back for a part replacement despite assuring me they would in 1-2 weeks and its been a month (maybe because they deal with continentals all day, but my lowly v6 cayenne needs love too
)

I had the same problem with the main switch. It would open, stop, then open again while I toggle it half way, as if it has bad connection. Mentioned it to the dealer when I brought my car in for service, $300 to replace it. I simply agreed to it because maintenance and brake job came out to be $4500 together. What's another $300 right?
