Secondary Sport Cats Installed!

Just installed the Cargraphic Secondary High Flow Cats on my GTS! So far I really like the sound. And it doesn't seem to suffer from the loud startup issues that the Fabspeed bypass pipes had. Here is a quick video with the new cats:

Sounds great!

For our clients who are wanting to keep things a tad more subdued vs. the Fabspeed bypass pipes (especially on that cold start) - we recommend these. The only downside is that like with anything that has a high flow catalytic converter attached to it, the price is considerably more than the Fabspeed unit. Great construction and sound though - no doubt about that!

Thanks! I didn't want to spend the extra $$$ on a completely new exhaust system (Akrapovic, etc.) Also, I wanted to make sure that it didn't mess with the PSE sound symposer. So the high-flow cats were a good middle ground option.

I tried the bypass pipes, but I couldn't stand the cold start sound on the GTS. But I think they are still a good option if you have a Turbo (since the sound is already a little muffled by the turbos).

Hi there,

great sound and good for you.

May ask what you mean by, Couldn't stand the cold start sound'?

does that mean the secondary bypass just increase the loudness or does it change the sound quality?

Im curious as I like the PSE noise but if its 20% louder it would be great.

Im considering to custom a secondary bypass and maybe alter the size of it to control the loudnes..

From my knowledge, for mufflers, the larger the hole/less restrictions the louder.

Does this work the same for secondary cats?

If you only want slightly louder sound the sport cats are a good option. The bypass pipes are quite loud with the GTS. It was probably loudest with a cold start (it was loud enough to make people stare in parking lots and around my neighborhood). I'm not sure if changing the size of the pipes will make any difference.
