That caliper looks like it was professionally done. Great job on it.
Oh jeez. So we must purposely order the 'wrong' part? Not very confidence inspiring
Jamesporsche--did you have to order the long or short pipe? Which Cayenne do you have V6 or V8?
Ditto on the calipers-nice job!

it's not just this seller. all of the other ones have the same info: short tubes for v8 and long tube for v6. i don't know if it changed in 2014. i almost made the mistake when i ordered. a local seller told me to check physically first. there are only two versions, so order base on your exhaust and not the year/engine.

The V6 & the v8 are the same length. What usually cause the confusion is that the chinese v6 is different (audi's supercharged v6) and has a different exhaust length[long pipe]. So when you order; order the V8 short pipe tips.

Thanks for your reply. That helped clear my confusion. I didn't realize China had a different v6 engine than the U.S.

You're welcome. The reason Porsche uses a different engine in china due to huge taxation for over 3.0 L engines. So they used Audi's 3.0 TFSI engine.

Mmdht2/jamesporsche,
Is it a regular bolt/nut which attaches the tips to the muffler?
In the up close pic posted by mmdht2, the bolt looks like some kind of star shape. Is a special tool needed?

I got the same tips in the mail today, will mount them up this weekend.

yes, it's a special star shape one but i just used a regular small adjustable wrench. it worked fine. its not very tight that you have to worry about stripping it. the close up pic is after i took it off, no stripping.

Thanks: Mmdht2/jamesporsche,
I got mine from JimmyHo also, arrived after 10 days.
Ended up buying a $10 set of sockets to fit the 'star' nut from Harbor Fright.
Here is the requisite 50/50 photo:

MIK911 that looks great! You guys finally convinced me to get my own set as well... I have placed an order on ebay from a different seller who is shipping it from CA instead of China. The images looks exactly the same as the one jimmyho1023 is selling. I will report back once installed and let you guys know how it turns out.

considering spray painting the tips before install... what do you guys think? Has the tips hold out well?

The tips are holding up well. Glad I did this mod, as I never liked my rectangular oem tips.
Painting it should work out well. The finish is not polished, so paint should stick on well

Post pics when you're done.

Yea, I think the oem rectangular tips makes the car look soft and ordinary. The quad tips makes it slightly more aggressive looking from the rear... since the taillights don't help either!

Undecided on the paint... but once i see the product in person i will decide on whether i want to just clear coat it or spray it with a metallic color.

Will post some pics once I am done.

Mine came yesterday and I too was a little surprised by the quality. I got the V8 ones for my V6, easy install, $168 shipped from China (which was less than 7 business days). They're from "Wotefusi" off Amazon. Attention to detail all the way down to the box they ship in, ha! BTW I had no problem installing these with a standard 10mm socket on the star nut.

So... it looks like I received tips that are chrome instead of the matte/satin finish you guys all received. Do you guys prefer the chrome finish? I am deciding if I should return it and get the satin finish one...

The welding leaves much to be desired... but for the price not surprising.

I also noticed that I do not have the rivets you guys have, which might make the tips prematurely fall off once the welds give way. Did you guys also have this baffle in one of the exhaust opening inside?

Finally got to install it... The chrome is starting to grow on me. I might give it a brushed stainless look by sanding it down in the future though. Name: image-1979787011.jpg

This takes the star #12 female socket. Others have used a regular 10mm socket and it seems to have worked. Name: image-2294716387.jpg

Overall a very very easy and simple mod. It totally transformed the look of the car. Now it looks more aggressive and sporty whereas previously it had a soft and muted look. Adjusting the tips angle and slant to my liking took the most time. Would have taken about 10 mins if I wasn't too ****.
