Well I went ahead and ordered a 16 GTS. Will get here late September beginning of October. Replacing the 12 S. Only mod I am looking into so far is going to clear side markers.

Problem is the euro spec version does not have side markers anymore. Thus, no clear part for us to buy to replace our Amber ones.

Anyone else looking to do this and found a source. Tried suncoast but they stated that it's currently not in the plans to sell these.

I don't think the 2016s have side markers. I don't think you need to worry about this mod. I'm waiting for delivery of my 2016 S. It's sitting in a boat anchored off the coast of GA

 

Well hope you are correct. But when I look at the U.S. Version vs the ones that are euro spec online I see side markers.

The indicators are instead in the side mirrors.

 

ALL US cars must have front amber reflectors, it's the law, so I'm sure it will be on the 2016

OP did bring up a good question about where to get the OEM clears now, I'm sure suncoast will come out with their own solutions though from their vendors.

Maybe see if bumperplugs.com has a body colored solution? I know they made some to delete the rear bumper reflectors of the 991.

 

Thanks for the information everyone. I guess I will make a trip over to my dealer. Now need to see if it is just a reflector or if it has a bulb underneath. I guess it really doesn't matter either way. I just am partial to the cleaner look of the clear lens.
