Unhappy 2015 Cayenne Diesel Issues

I have a 2 months old 2015 Cayenne Diesel and I have few issues with it:

- When accelerating around 1300~1900 RPM, I hear a weird noise like a worn bearing noise. Not sure if that was the Turbo or not.

- Bluetooth Phone has lots of static noise when car is moving. Other side of conversation can't stand the irritating noise.

- Garage door button (II) seems to lose config/registration every few weeks. Today was the 2nd time since I acquired the car.

- Steering wheel plastic casing has lots of rattles over bumps and rough patches.

Any ideas about any of these issues? Appreciated.

No new Cayenne should have those symptoms. I would suggest talking to your dealer.

None of these sound normal to me. Have your dealer look at them.

The ONLY thing that's close in my 2,000 miles so far is a little turbo whine as the engine is moving from about 1300-1800rpm. Once it hist full boost, it seems dissipates. Additionally, when towing the boat (5300lbs) that turbo whine is more noticeable. In fact, I didn't really hear it until I put the trailer behind it.

Re: Garage door button. My dealer replaced my entire upper console with an upgraded one that solved a false car alarm problem and was told other intermediate issues as well. This was not a recall, but a factory upgrade. Ask you dealer if you're VIN has the defective console.

I have a 2016 Cayenne Diesel. I have that same worn bearing sound at the same rpms. I think it's probably normal. But it's annoying. I would much rather have loud turbo hiss or turbo whine.

I have no issues with the Bluetooth or steering wheel rattles.

I can't comment on the garage door button issue because I haven't used it yet. But I have had problems with both of my keys. They both had to be replaced (and all the settings reprogrammed).

I have an original '13 CD with almost 40k miles. None of those issues. Sorry. I do have and have always had a low frequency vibration under load at low rpm. Not really on Sport mode. My tech said it's the transfer case. I'm used to it now and rarely notice it but it is there if I forget to hit the sport button. Back to the dealer for you.

Agreed, I think it's normal. My buddys CD got the same whining noise as well.

Thank you.

What exactly does a "worn bearing noise" sound like?

Forgive me, I might misdescribed the turbo whistling/whining noise with worn bearing noise.

I have a 15 CD loaner today and it has the whistling noise but it's not as pronounce as my CD.

Off-topic,
My CD has 19' tires and tire pressure 36F and 42R PSI when cold. The loaner has 38F and 44R PSI when cold.

What do you guys set your CD 19" tires? I am wondering if lower tire pressure causes more turbo noise.

Thanks.

2015 Cayenne Diesel Blue Tooth Noise

I have a similar noise using blue tooth on my 2015 Cayenne Diesel with Bose sound system. Noise is very disturbing for other side of the conversation. Noise changes intensity - worst when slowly accelerating in 8th gear at 55mph.

Dealer tried to fix - updated pcm from 4.73 to 4.76. No significant improvement.

Going back to the dealer this week.

Any suggestions?

In my case there was a slight rattle in the overhead unit at low rpms. Dealer replaced the overhead unit and noise was gone since then.

Good luck to you.

I don't have any of the mentioned problems and run my 19 tires at 38F/44R.
