I'm planning on importing my car to the states, but I'm not sure if I can mount a US style plate on my car. The tailgate itself is not designed for it.

Does anyone have any idea?

 

Are you bringing the car over when you're "visiting" the US, or do you actually intend to import it? If you intend to import it - you may want to check the rules on doing that. I believe you can't bring a euro spec car over and keep it here. You might be able to bring it over if you're here under a Visa for the term of the Visa. Dunno if any bond is required.

 

Of course I'm going to check the rules before I do that.
