-30F? Hmm
So up here in monata the past two weeks were quite cold. Few observations: at around -18c the i got a message suspension system failure. After the car sat in garage, the message went away. It happened again a few days later in the similar temperature. Again, went away after sitting in garage. So far, im writing this off as a fluke due to cold. Second, passenger door handle wouldnt open the door, happens now and then. Cars oil takes a very long time to warm up, 30-40min of driving to get to about 160f. Other than tha, the car has been like a champ!
And what year/model Cayenne might this be? The 955/957 series used ambient air to fill the air suspension. If there was moisture in that air - it could freeze at those temps causing the error message. The 958 series uses a sealed system filled with nitrogen to avoid that (and other) problems.
According to the service manual that's a rather complex undertaking. It requires not only a bottle of high-pressure nitrogen, but also the correct regulator (allowing for around 15-bar pressure) and the tools to hook it up. It then must be done wheel by wheel with the vehicle suspended on a lift. It also may require a diagnostics tool capable of exercising the valves on the suspension, and then calibrating the height when done.
