'14 Cayenne AC 008301 Fan Control Overcurrent

I was scanning my Cayenne with my Launch OBD tool and this current fault code showed up for the air conditioning.

008301 Fan control overcurrent

Anyone know anything about this code?

Likewise, I just came across that in my '17. Along with:

008320 Communication with sun sensor (LIN bus vehicle)

I plan on asking the dealer about it when I next have it in for service (which likely may not be for a while). I'll leave it in the module's DTCs until then.

Keep us posted. I cleared the code and it hasn't been back yet.

Heh, kinda like the accelerator angle in my car? Not full throttle? Implausible!

Drive away release, is that related to the electric parking brake?

I noticed the vehicle is smart enough to engage that, or at least use the brake Hold feature, should you happen to get out of the vehicle while auto start has the engine stopped and it's in gear.

I was scanning mine today - same code. I suspect it means nothing at all. It had only occurred once. I cleared it and will watch to see if it returns.

Which Launch OBD tool are you all using? I am looking to grab one for Father's Day. Thanks!

Just be aware it's a bit of an adventure getting it working. There really seems to be some disarray in how they manage registering these gizmos. That and to use it you need an active internet connection. What with all the clone/bootleg versions of dongles out there I get why... but the burden it puts on legitimate buyers is seriously annoying.
