Hello I'm hoping someone can help clear this up for me as I have searched the forums and haven't gotten a solid answer. I was initially looking at a 958 hybrid but was told you cannot install an Oem trailer hitch on them because the wiring isn't there.

I have since decoded the VINs on a few 958 hybrids that have the trailer hitch w/o ball joint listed, and they have what looks like OEM trailer hitches. Can anyone clear this up? Can you fully retrofit an OEM trailer hitch to a 958 hybrid that didn't come with it from the factory? I'm looking at model years 2011-2014 roughly.

Just to update this thread in case it helps someone in the future. The conclusion I have come up with is that some Cayenne S Hybrids were spec from the factory with Trailer hitch and associated wiring. Most of the ones for the US market were not. If your hybrid was not delivered with a trailer hitch retrofitting the OEM wiring is not going to be plug and play, but I think the actual hardware will bolt up the same.
