The head unit on my 2012 may have seen it's last day. Currently I am not getting any sound from the radio or bluetooth. Additionally I cannot switch between radio, satelite, AUX, etc.

I've had some random problems in the past that have resolved themselves, but now I'm afraid the head unit is beyond repair and will need to be replaced.

If I bring the car to Porsche, they will charge me several thousand dollars to replace the head unit. I went to Ebay quickly and noticed 1 or 2 for about 2K (ouch). If I have to replace the head unit, I guess it would be nice to put one in that runs Apple Carplay, but that's just a wish list.

Any suggestions?

 

Have you considered having it repaired?

Used these guys for my 996 then replaced the head-unit a few years later.
