GIAC,V-Flow,Upgraded plugs....dying Turbo
Well, another day of dealing with problems with my car. About a month ago, I did stage 1 with Evo at Tischer. After 2 weeks of strong boost and exhilarating acceleration, my Turbo starts to develop the hiccups right around 4k rpms. So last Monday, I bring it into my dealer, and am told that I probably need new spark plugs. So that is fine since I read there could be problems with the early 01 plugs. I bring the car back this past Monday... 2 days ago, and schedule for the plug change. Today, I go to pick the car up, the car has some MAF problems now, so I need to get that changed...
. After waiting an hour, my car will not stay on, and just stalls out and goes into limp mode. Does this seem to be a common occurence with going from a stock car to stage 1 or 2? It makes me sometimes worry about doing more upgrades in the future if I am going to have all sorts of new problems.

Actually my tech just called me and told me that there was a boost hose that came loose from probably changing the spark plugs. Whew, thank god it was something minor and not something actually wrong with the car. Now my question is, how long should my plugs last with the GIAC programming, and should I expect any other items to be replaced in the future.
you shouldn't have any problems now. I had the stage II put on about a year ago, and about 6 months after the plugs started sputtering. I had the plugs changed during the 30k service, and it runs as smooth as when it was new.
The boost hose obviously doesn't have anything to do with the ECU mods, so you should be fine. Although I don't have the v-flow, so Im not sure about that. Now just get a freeflowing exhaust and change that flash to level II! It just keeps getting better.

Good question, and I asked the same to my tech. He put my original MAF back in, and the car ran fine, so he left it, and put the new one back in the box and told me there was no charge on the MAF.
