Cayenne Turbo 958 Brake Pad Options for Low Dust - Your Recommendations Please!!!
Hate the stock brake dust. It’s killing the wheel paint.
I have read older threads saying Hawk and Centric pads are good options to reduce the brake dust.
Is this true?
Are there other newer options that you folks can recommend?
Don’t want to destroy the stock rotor surface with anything too aggressive!
Appreciate any firsthand accounts please!!!

I recently installed Powerstop Evolution Z-23 Carbon Fiber Ceramic front and rear pads (with original factory rotors) in my wife's 2016 Cayenne S.
We have maybe 1000 miles on them now and think they are fantastic and a huge improvement to the car! They are a blend of ceramic compounds with carbon fiber infused into them (so they claim). Performance wise they seem to have a bit more bite than the stock pads - which is great considering they also make ZERO noise, and leave nearly ZERO dust on the rims. They come with shims that have a thin, hard rubberized coating on the outside that provides a dampening surface against the caliper pistons to eliminate squeaks (unlike the original set that squealed like crazy from day one).
These are not expensive at all too! I bought the front and rear set on Ebay for $125 shipped - and installed them myself on a saturday morning. We really only needed front pads, but these were so cheap I figured I might as well do the rear pads too and they would all match from a braking feel standpoint.
I did a bit of research before I bought them because the low price made me a bit skeptical. I found mostly positive reviews and more commonly from the Dodge Hellcat crowd that couldn't stand the brake dust from the stock Brembo brakes.
I have to assume that these pads are harder on the rotors based on their composition, so I will be watching how quickly the rotors wear. The rotors had worn evenly from the original pads, still met min thickness, and will need to be replaced anyway on my next brake job regardless of what pads are in there now.... For $125 I figured it was worth the gamble.
When my Boxster GTS needs brakes (soon), I'm going with these pads again without a doubt.
I absolutely recommend these pads.

I did replace the rotors as well, and they are the Zimmerman, so I guess it's possible some of the dust could be attributed to them.. I guess I'll know when I put the Powerstop pads on.

Just wondering how the stock rotors held up with these?
I'm dealing with excessive brake dust and squealing from my pads on my 958.1 S, and your post has me looking at these pads as a hopeful solution. My 2013 had the rotors replaced just over a year ago, so they're in great shape - curious to hear about your longer term experience with these.
Thanks!

i have since put a full set of these pads on my two daughters cars (jeep wrangler, and nissan xterra). same results - quiet, clean, wear and brake well..
no brainer - buy these pads

hi, we have now put about 20k miles on these pads (the car has almost 60k miles now). pads still have a ton of life left, and the rotors look great with no warping.. they have never squealed once, the rims stay clean, and the braking performance is as good as, if not better than stock. $125 for front and rear pads was super bargain...
