I severely so badly wish that PDF link was still active or available somehow, somewhere. I know it's been years now... and I have a 958.1, but I'd still like to see visually how RennMan ran his catch can setup!! Our engines are virtually identical, so I could figure it out from there. Just darn. I found the factory diagram of the PCV system, but I can't exactly tell what direction things are flowing and which lines to hook the catch can in between...
.
Can someone please re-share the PDF on the catch can install, Im trying to take the advice of many here by doing so, and think I can figure it out, but want to make sure.
Hey @Renaissance.Man !! 8 years and this thread is still helping people. great PDF and thanks for doing all that work that would benefit us all. just a quick one. with that setup you did however, it does not cover the vacuum line for the intake manifold? it only covers the one going for the turbo intake on the drivers side. am i right?
if yes, what am planning to install is the teamrxp catch can that has a total of 5 lines. one catch can with 3 lines and the other with 2. so 2 catch cans total.
this is for catch can 1. so 1 inlet and 2 vacuum lines
- 1 for the PCV (middle line)
- 1 for the vacuum line going to the intake manifold (basically the one where the pcv line connects to) (left line)
- 1 for the turbo intake pipe (where the original hose connects to the last part) (right line)
for catch can 2. 1 inlet and 1 vacuum line
- 1 for the original hose that used to connect to the turbo intake pipe
- and 1 for the vacuum line which you will need to make a hole on your air intake preferably before the MAF sensor.
