Do Not Buy Coil Packs From Rockauto.
My Cayenne Turbo earlier this week had two coil packs go bad. I was getting P0300, P0301, and P0302. So after diagnosing the problem I determined my coil packs were bad on cylinder 1 and 2. I ordered up a set of coil packs from rockauto and they were just delivered today. At first I only installed 4 out of the 8 new coil packs I received on bank 1, which is where the defective coil packs were. When I went to start the car, it wouldn't even start so I hooked up my scan tool and had 5 new codes show up: P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, and P0074. I looked at the fuses for the coil pack banks and both were fine. I decided to hook back up the old coil packs to see if the car would still run minus the 2 dead cylinders that I had before and sure enough it did (only had codes P0300, P0301, P0302, and P0074). Since I was curious about the remaining 4 new coil packs, I decided to install them and you guessed it, those are bad too with the same codes as the last batch.
Since I own 7 cars RockAuto is my go to place for parts and I have never had any problems with their parts until now. I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression that this is a bash on them because defects do happen and Rockauto has always treated me well in the past. However, after receiving 8 bad coil packs I have lost all confidence in the aftermarket in delivering a quality alternative to OEM. I plan on returning these defective coil packs to rockauto and shelling out the chedder for OEM coil packs. If anyone is curious, the coil packs I bought from RockAuto were made by "Ultra Power Quality Parts" part number UF563 and all 8 were DOA. Learn from me, OEM Porsche or Beru is the only coil packs you want to use.

Hate to ask this but, why would you choose anything outside of an OEM revision?
Coilpack are a common issue with porsche for some reason. I replace them every other plug change every other year.
Maybe its my pattern but, they are always a different part numbers.

It's no secret that even the longevity from oem coil packs are rather short. With this in mind, why not try something different because after all how much worse can it be? Porsche is now on its 22nd revision of coil packs, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence that they know what they are doing.
I have had good luck in the past with rockauto parts as most of them have been re-boxed oem parts. Unfortunately, the coil packs I tried were a disaster. Live and learn.

Yikes man! I don't blame you for keeping them in the trunk too. I broke down and bought OEM Beru branded coil packs and she's back on the road.

I ordered the ignition kit from ECS since they had the next best price that I could find. They shipped 7 Beru coils and one "Bremi" coil.
Waiting on the replacement to be sent before I can tackle this. Thank you for the diy video!
