Cayenne turbo 955 4.5 low boost pressure 0.4 bar max
Hi Guys,
I’m new to this forum and maybe you can help me with this problem.
symptoms are:
boost stalls at 0.4 bar
At 4500 rpm a little struggling
loss of power
already replaced the diverter valves
Checked the systems for air leaks, no leaks
vacuum systems Also no leaks
coil pack and sprak plugs also replaced
when i disconnect the connector of the MAP boost sensor it seams to rev faster and can also hear the diverter valves blown off. There was more boost. With the disconnected connector there is no signal to the Dashboard pressure gauge so I couldn’t see if the pressure was higher then 0.4 bar.
So now I think the car has at lack of fuel.
Could this be a problem with the MAP sensor or another problem like bad working fuel pumps?
Pulled the fuse of 1 fuel pump and still idling fine. Then checked the other pump alone and it was also idling fine.
Post this in the Cayenne Turbo forum of Rennlist too as that's a much more active forum and you'll likely get more help over there.
Have you checked the large hoses going to the Diverter valves to make sure they didn't get kinked when they were installed. If they're not nice and straight, they kink and could cutoff your boost like this. Also check to make sure they're still attached since you replaced the DVs and the connect directly to the DVs. Also check the connections at the intercoolers. If you get the O-ring in the wrong place, they pipes don't fit together properly and the clip that slides in won't hold them together the first time they see pressure so you'll have a major boost leak. You'd likely hear this though.
Don’t have to put this post in rennlist because the problem is solved. But Thanks for your tip!
Did a pressure test before so No boost leaks, the hoses of the diverter valve also ok.
The problem was Code P0327 knock-out sensor low input. So I replaced the 2 knock sensors with new ones.
Reset the ecu and took it for a drive. After hitting 0.8 boost one the first pedal car went in limp mode. Read out the ecu and again the same code.
Then I dismantled half the engine again and started measuring the wires from the ecu to the sensors. Bank 1 sensor use pin 106, bank 2 107. Pin 99 is for both sensors ground.
The wire from bank 1 sensor pin 106 was disconnected inside the plug of the sensor. Couldn’t see the problem with my eyes. But did measure it.
Repaired the wire of the plug and reset the ecu again. Problem solved!!
