New on this forum and already glad with some info i have found here. I have issues with my cayenne so i hope i can get some info and tips here to resolve them. I needs a small intro,
The cayenne is mine since 3 weeks now and i knew it had to be serviced right away, it had some KM's to go but in terms of time it was needed. Before we gave it new spark plugs, 8 new coils, oil and all filters we readed out the cayenne resulting in a lot of faults. There was NO light visible on the dash however. We reset all faults and all but the P1248 were gone. We called the previous owner and he had a new battery installed just before i bought it because the old one died. (Car was standing still for 5 months). So i think most of the codes the first time were caused because of that. In the mean while i am 1000KM ahaed and those did not return.
Now the fault i am worried about. The P1248 we cannot get out. The P0016 comes back directly after reset and just starting the car. My mecanic who i rely on normally had to take a long holiday due to health issues so i'm a bit on my own here. The car is running just fine, in every mode it runs without problems and in Sport it is still a smooth rocket. In that way you could think the issue is not that bad but my stomach keeps on turning with every small thing i feel while driving the car. What i do not understand is why the engine check is out and does not turn on. Is there a drivable P0016 failure and a stop now P0016?
Last question i have now is also about the enigine warming light. I am used to cars who show the light before starting (ignition on) and then die while running. My Cayenne is not showing that one at all in "ignition on" mode, i cannot find what it is suppost to do in this example and i cannot find the info about this.
