has anybody installed a custom audio in the new cayenne ? I currently own a panamera 4 with bose audio and i`m not impressed by it . It sounds ok with mp3 files but xm and fm is horrible. Now i m thinking for my cayenne just order plain audio and replace the whole system . Has anybody done that ? If yes pls let me know what system did you use and how is it working with the rests of this truck.

You could go Burmeister. Alternatively, adding an aftermarket sub and amp to the Bose system really transforms the sound. The Bass is obviously much better, but you can also free up the other drivers from the burden of the bass, which makes them sound much cleaner. I have done this now on 2 vehicles, including my current Cayenne GTS and the results have been great.

The set-up you see is completely modular and comes apart in 2 minutes if I really need to put the seats down to haul stuff, although usually I can just cover it with a thick blanket.

i had a bose in my 2005cs and 2002911, but that system sounded much better then the new one. It plays mp3 all right but fm and xm sucks.

 

I have the basic audio with the PCM. I sounds good with MP3 and from an Iphone but FM reception is not so good.

 

When you have PCM the audio is automatically upgraded with extra speakers and higher power and it is not base anymore.
