Throttle shut down while doing a pull
That is definitely not normal... my Cayenne is more than happy to do consecutive 60-100+ pulls.
If the PSM kicked in, that would imply wheel slip so it would reduce throttle. Are you sure it was not slipperly at all? If so, did you check with a PIWIS or Durametric for codes?

After re-reading your initial post, I would do some data logging. On second thought, it sounds like you may have a fuel pump going bad. Which means it may not be able to keep it at high volumes of fuel or extended periods. Bad fuel pumps can be intermittent.
Ok, I'll log it. But the being starved for fuel sounds very valid. Thanks man.
What year CTT do you have? If it is a DFI, I can send you my Durametric logging from a couple of months ago for baseline numbers. They may help will a general ballpark - even though I am moderately modded.
No worries - I think we are on the right track. Either fuel or bad MAF readings causing hesitation. When logging, you should be looking at the fuel trim values. For the MAF, you should unplug them completely until you get this isolated since your Cayenne can run with the MAF unplugged. It will just default back to a safe map for that period and just use the MAP sensor.

wow, sucks to have an issue so soon. hope it's an easy fix.
RM: I also have a 2008 CTT, stock, and did a pull last night trying to help Todd out and see if mine did anything funny with PSM off. It didn't but the 60-130 time was 17.2 sec. I expected faster. Any idea what a normal range for this should be?

Even so, 17.2 sec does sound really slow. For instance, I know for a fact that my CTTS is faster than a stock Panamera Turbo at highway speeds. According to this 60-130 thread, a stock Panamera Turbo is good for 10.14 sec.
Since they have the same engine (different transmission, gearing), what does an extra 1200 lbs of weight do to that rolling time? I suppose my guess is an extra 4-5 seconds or about 15.14.
So maybe 17 seconds isn't too far off after all. You have to get some mods on that piggy

i do agree that upgrades are needed. 0-60 was 5.5s. i'm suspicious that something may be off and it needs logged, too...once bht is fixed and gets a stock 60-130 benchmark if it's much better than 17.2 i'm going to have mine checked.
I'll be doing a 60-130 soon after this issue is resolved. As a matter of fact CRR, lets do a highway pull with the gopros. Stock CTT v Stock CTT
You are right. I know the official 60-130 times are done with a vbox. I have looked into it for myself, but cannot justify the cost until I have a car that has a chance of getting a sub-7 second number.
Nice GT2 by the way!
Great idea! Would love to see the video! Please post it up in a thread for the rest of the guys here!
