2008 cayenne max tire dimensions

I'm putting summer tires on and want to know the following before I order the tires.
Will 275x40x22 fit my cayenne? I know that 285x35x22 will work but want more rubber.

thanks in advance
kevin

I don't see why that wouldn't work, although I would suspect that the setup would be quite heavy and the speed readout would be that much more off.

I would use this calculator:

..and not exceed anything with a max tire diameter of 30". My summer 305/35/22 are technically 30.4" and rub slightly when turning full lock. However, my pepper is also lowered.

I use my Cayenne for a great riding SUV. Your ride will suffer greatly with anything near that tire set up. In fact, if you read some past threads on the issue, you'll find that many people using 22's and other larger rims, are pitching them as quickly as possible to go back to 18 or 19.

disagree. I've tried 18, then go to 20, then 21, then 19, now again 275-45-20 and will be 21 with bit more rubber. 20 is best choice for riding, 21 look better.

305-35-22 is acceptable size, can confirm this.
