2011 Cayenne hot/cold air flow issue

After 15-20 mins of drive, the drivers vents blow cold air (it was hot air when I first start the car) and continues to blow cold air. If crank up the temp setting, goes back to hot air for 10-15 mins then turn into cold air again.

I heard there are a bunch of servo-controlled motors behind/under the dash that control and regulate airflow.

Recently, I had "all wheel sys fault" and a dealer replaced the servo motor.

Do you think it's another servo motor issue? All inputs are welcome.

Damn, I just bought this car... ~37,000 miles. Hope it's under warranty.

Thanks!

Could be a bad servo motor or a bad interior temperature sensor. Do you have the same problem on the passenger side?

If you have the carfax on the car you will get an idea of when the car was sold and the warranty clock began to tick.

It could be your automatic temperature control. I may be nothing. Have it serviced and you'll know. Additionally, you don't know if your vehicle is under warranty???? 4 years/ 50,000 warranty. You do the math. I know, to the day, when my warranty expires.

For sake of clarity, I meant the repair itself should be under warranty; not all repair would be. Anyway, I got my service.

No faults.
Check all sensors and mechanical airway/vents - ok.
They were able to reproduce the problem; only the driver side center vent blows a cold air after 15-20 minutes - very puzzling.

They were going to replace the blower, then the foreman came and told a tech & service advisor not to. He told them he has seen this issue with several of new Cayennes (the temp drops 8 degF).

The service advisor call and wrote an email to the Porsche NA Tech Engineering to ask for help. It's been few days ... Nothing yet. Don't tell me this could be a design flaw...

Stay tune.

Nope. I left several messages to the service advisor - no news. Total ignorance for last two weeks.

I may have to start video clips to be noticed by PCNA (re: Nick Murray's nine lemon - that was unbelievable how much Nick had to endured before PCNA stepped and did the right thing).

Customer service is not what it used to be anymore ... Sad!

Well, I got a personal call from the service manager from the dealer I am working with. Just so happen that I submitted survey earlier today re: their service render 2wks ago - still waiting for PCNA technical service input / resolution.

He assured me that he is going to get to bottom of this and will fix it next Monday, 12th, when I have a service appt.

I'll keep you informed.

Scarneva,

Yes. No more cold air. I found a Technical Bulletin on it (I don't have a copy). I gave it to the service advisor and he finally resolved it. Well, not completely to my satisfaction, however.

AC temp doesn't seem to work properly on 'auto' mode. It stays on high 8bars forever it seems (at least 30 mins). It doesn't auto correct. Ie. the bar doesn't go down; I have to reduce it by manual intervention (why do you have an auto if you have to manually adjust - damn).

I think the service advisor is tire of me - he said that's 'normal' and doesn't take an appointment; I gave up on that dealer - want to go somewhere else, but just don't have a time... I guess, it's not bothering me enough... Until winter, perhaps?

You wouldn't happen to know the TSB number, or the title?
