Install is all done

I put the meth kit and pipes in today.... Can't wait for next week to get this thing tuned

Here is where I put the meth pump, and it was like Porsche wanted it here because there was already holes in the bar that lined up perfect with the pump.

And here's a pic of it with the bumper on. I like how you can see it if you look close but otherwise you don't know it's there.

And lastly some engine bay shots, and if you look close you can see the meth plumbing in front of the in take pipes. I would recommend the intake system to anyone just based on how BA it looks. And I know my bay needs cleaned bad

And one with all plastic back on

Well thanks for all the views and comments. I hope everyone keeps trying to push their CTT. I'll post next week my thoughts after the tune and again next month once I hit the dyno. If anyone has any questions or needs help duplication just ask

FWIW, I hope those plastic intercooler adapters you fashioned hold up under a hose clamp and boost pressure. That seems to be the weakest link here from what I can see.

If you have to revise your approach, you can always consider cutting off the ends of the aluminum intercooler outlet tubes and welding on an aluminum pipe nipple with a rolled bead. This will be much cheaper than having a set of custom adapters machined; also just as reliable.

Agreed, it held up to a lot of full throttle so far but I haven't got it back with the tune yet so that be all it takes to blow it off time will tell. If it does go I'll just get a better set machined, I just didn't want to wait for the 2-3 week turn around they told me it would take.

Well I screwed up, I had a local upsolute dealer so I went with them and it was a big mess. Long long story short they had my car for a week, curbed my rim, gave the wrong tune that was also sub par then told me they couldn't help me because my car was to modified. They are at least refunding me for the tune.

But on the plus side I'm having Tony at epl dyno tune it next Thursday. So I should be pushing the numbers I want and have a solid tune.

Also out of Boredom I bought electric cuts and will be putting them in this week. Don't really expect much just thought it would be fun to scare people on demand from inside the car.

Well I hoping for a little more since a CTTS stock has 520 and with just a tune gets around the 560# but by thurs of next week we will know for sure.

Hey man great write up..

I am in a strange situation here..my girlfriend hit a guard rail in my 2008 cayenne TT ..long story I have to pay out of pocket ..

Among many things she ruined the intercooler .. I can't find a used one anywhere here in Canada or the USA.. A new one from Porsche is about a $ 1000..

I have located a 955 intercooler I know I am downgrading just temporary .if I install the 955 intercooler in my 957 will the charge and intake pipes bolt up to the 955 intercooler directly or will i have to modify the bottom charge pipe ... Mainly the way it connects into the bottom (is it the same clip mechanism ?)

Thanks in advanced for any help.. I know this is *** backwards.

FWIW, I will be looking to sell my stock CTT/S 957 intercoolers in the next month or so if anyone else wants to upgrade their 955 or replace their 957 intercoolers

Sure..will send PM. I thought I was being helpful, but just realized that I may have been insensitive to your needs since I do not have them available immediately and I will be selling them as a pair; sounds like you need just one. Sorry about that. PM me back if you are still interested.

Skigod,

It has been over a month. Interested to hear how things are going and your thoughts with the 957 intercoolers installed. Any updates?

Sorry it's been so long everyone life just got a hold on me. So I got everything done and EPL to custom tune it( so many nice cars in that shop)
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...levant_count=1

It ran great all weekend then on my way back to PA it went into limp mode. It did this for 2 weeks straight if I went above 7 bar. In the end I found a bad AOS and PCV, after that everything runs great and holds 1.2 bar strong.

I did put in some cutouts before the mufflers and let me tell you they sound great. If anyone just want a little more noise but not all the time go this route.

Now for the moment of truth the truck did 399 AWHP on EPLs mustang dyno. I did not run meth because Tony didn't think it was a good idea since I didn't have any fail safes if the pump failed. He did tune it for 100% water and got 10hp throughout the power band because of it. So without the meth I was around 511CHP, I was hoping for 600CHP and may have got there with the meth. It is very smooth and even Tony told me may truck ran smoother and took less adjustment then his own CTT and he didn't know why( I say its because of the charge and Y pipe but who knows.

Well that's it if anyone has and questions or comment let them rip
