I did put 150 miles since the tune was loaded yesterday...I have no doubt it's a good 75-100 crank HP gain....
I do 80% highway and pretune has been 13.1 mpg...I don't think it'll get any better as it's way too fun

^+1....Most fun on the highways! After the tune, I can't imagine many being able to keep up. Drivability is greatly improved with the tune. I also added a SprintBooster to achieve the same affect as turning off PSM. That way I still get to 6th gear too on the highway. Now with the Tune,Sport mode on,PSM off, & Sprint Booster on high....Well it is just scary fast & responsive!

Be careful with all these items on with the SprintBooster in "red" race mode. Last time I tested out this mode on the street, I nearly rear-ending a car pulling away from a light. Now it stays in "green" sport mode

As a side bar, I am glad you guys are enjoying your tuned peppers. They are way too stuffed up from the factory.

Yes I agree, it is not to be used in Red mode in traffic. On the highway though it is great. You get instant downshifts & a throttle with no lag at all. It is a Very nice compliment to the Softronic tune.

Woo hooo. Got mine today so will be loading it later. On a side note I had already bought a duramertic cable but hadn't used it yet. I mentioned I didn't need one with my Softronic buy but they missed it and sent one anyway.

So if anyone needs a Durametric cable I will sell mine. PM me.

Please note that the Durametric that comes with the tune is for 1 car only. The standard durametric cable are for 3 cars (enthusiast) or unlimited cars (professional). You might want to consider this when deciding which one to sell.

Thanks, I didn't actually know that but I only have this one that the durametric will work on so I'll probably sell the regular one.

Well dagnabit, now Scott tells me I need to pull my ECU and send it to him because of an issue with the tune not loading properly with the Durametric cable. This is my daily driver though and being without it for a few days at least is gonna be a pain. Decisions, decisions....

Error Code

Does it show any error code when it does not load? And do you need to reload the original program when the upgrade does not load? Thanks

Hello ,
I had explained that it was only for the 04-06 cars and that it was a new reader . The program will read yet not flash at the moment so I suggested to send it in and I could flash it and send it back the same day. We had up to this point always had these units sent to us for bench flashing.

Best,
Scott

Scott,

I wasn't trying to bad mouth you. Just need to figure out what I'm going to do.

I just want to thank Scott again. Once I was able to work out my schedule to be without the car for a few days I sent him the ECU. He got it Monday morning and had it shipped back on it's way to me that afternoon. I had it back in the car and going again Tuesday night.

Couldn't have been easier really. And my goodness it has made this thing WAY more fun to drive. I've said it in a couple other places but I'll repeat it here again, one of the best bang for the buck mods I've done so far. The difference with the Softronic tune and Sprintbooster is amazing.

Can't wait to get my exhaust and diverter valves done!!
