I have a Softronic tune on my 2 current Cayennes & I can tell you, it is great & true in my case. Also a great company to work with from a customer support perspective. Scott is very helpful & responsive to questions. You also get a Durametric cable included in the price of the software, so that will help you for years to come as well. If you already have a Durametric cable then Scott will give you a lower price without one. They are a board sponsor here & for a good reason....many people here have used their tunes with very good results. I highly recommend them if you are considering a tune.

Scott doesn't inflate anything. I have had nothing but good experience working with him. Why not just contact him? info@softronicsoftware.com

Hello,

Yes those numbers are accurate and in fact the TT can achieve more with some modifications. We have a sale going on for the 4th of July weekend under the Vendor Classifieds : https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...y-special.html

Best,
Scott

Scott,

What would the price be without the Durametric. Also wondering if you have things worked out for a 2005 Turbo but with the iE81 power-kit so it's basically a Turbo S just not designated.

Thanks,
John

Yes basically the power level is increased above the S as most of the S gains had been in the programming. Should you have a cable then I could give you a $100 further discount yet I would have to refund that after you order as the system can only take 1 coupon code at a time. Simply add to the message section that you have a cable already.

Best,
Scott

Pulled the trigger on this too! I went with the APR R1 diverter valves.

Question to those with the tune:
Are the stock spark plugs ok to use or would it be better to go one step colder?

Octane

California does not have 93 octane. What numbers do you get or if mid grade gas 89 was accidentally use does it cause drivability issue.

Even on a stock Cayenne, Porsche recommends a 91 Octane rating.
You may get some spark knock (detonation) which is not good for the engine and a resultant decreased performance. This situation is even more pronounced on a tuned vehicle which incorporates a higher Octane map.

DO this. I bought the tune from Scott@softronics during the sale he had.
Make sure you follow the instructions. Scott will email you the details.
Stock plugs are fine. Just get the 710N diverter valves. It's more than enough and only costs 90 bucks shipped for both.

Drivability is the best part with softronic. We all know on a turbo car that you'll get some good gains with a tune. I think part throttle is what sucks with the cayenne(when your wife says that a 2.0t audi a4 "feels" faster part throttle than a 4.8tt...) nonsport mode psm on...part throttle is painfully slow stock. With Scotts tune, it holds gear longer...pulls stronger in every gear...and way less laggy than stock part throttle.
Now Sport psm off is totally awesome
Do it. The truck is suppose to stay stock but just ordered car bypass pipes also...
