To me it hapens all the time and mostly with diesel , whenever I overtake them they will come flashinf their lights to **** me off to race ?
Does this things happen to you ?

 

When it does happen I tend to ignore it. I did have an escalade that tried to not let me pass. I just put it to the floor and he was a distant speck in the rear view. Don't know what the guy was thinking. Doing that can be very dangerous.
Do you mean the guys with the chipped diesel trucks?

 

All the type of people , a8 diesel passat diesels mercede e diesel golfs .
Example they are driving at 50mph , I overtake them normally and than after one minute they come fast flashing the lights and overtaking like crazy . I can even see them smiling !! Maybe one of these days I should block the road and ask them what the problem is .
Then when you "race" and pull a mile on them and than you stop because it gets dangerous at 130mph they just keep following you and keep on the race.

Ive only had 2 cars try to initiate a race with me in mine. First was a 955 Cayenne Turbo S, which I definitely would have loved to play around with to see the difference, but traffic was very heavy so I didn't pursue. The other time was a VW R32 (I think.. the hatchback center exit exhaust variety of "sporty" VW).

 

Are there many Porsches there or do you stand out being only one of few? Sounds like the roads aren't heavily patrolled by police.

 

Yes there are quite a few , usually cayenne and panameras .Asked other friends with fast cars and they have same problem . I have read these kind of stories everywhere , here at 6speed , at gtrlife , ferrarichat etc . So the original question was whats is your original reaction to these kind of situation ? PS : These people do know how to protect their self when they see cops , they brake hard and hide after a big truck usually

I rolled down my rear windows to show them my CTTS is equipped with 2 high octane car seats and ask them if they really think they can beat this "soccer dad" off the line! <jk>

 

My modified TTS is debadged at the rear so no-one is quite sure what they are up against, it seems to do the trick.

Did have someone in an S4 Audi try once in a 80kmh zone, best to just ignore them.
